The Marilena Ferrari-FMR Group was created in Bologna in 1992, with the Art'è company, by Marilena Ferrari, Fabio Lazzari and Davide Bolognesi.
Since 1999, together with its limited edition works of art, the Group has produced and created limited edition artist's books. In 2000 it launched the same business model on the Spanish market. In 2002 it purchased the FMR-Franco Maria Ricci publishing house with the aim of expanding its activity into the field of fine art publishing.
| In 2007, in order to successfully undertake processes of quantitative and qualitative development, including on foreign markets, the Group: established the Marilena Ferrari-FMR fine art house to guide the projects and processes of creating and producing works of art and artist's books, in order to improve the quality and excellence of its creations through intense research activity; wholly entrusted the Art'è company with marketing and sales, in order to further expand its presence within its target markets; created the Fondazione Marilena Ferrari-FMR, whose mission is to dedicate itself to all activities of positively exploiting and promoting the arts, which had previously been carried out by the Group, in order to bring the public at large and new generations into closer contact with Italy's heritage of fine craftsmanship. Since 2008 the Group, made up of the Marilena Ferrari-FMR fine art house, the FMR publishing house, Art'è and the Fondazione, operates under the name Marilena Ferrari-FMR. Its works have penetrated foreign markets and represent a synthesis of two of Italy's main qualities of excellence: the continuity and typical nature of Italian creative genius and the art of quality craftsmanship. |
